Fake news: the worst of the worst, the most horrible, the most detestable, the most alarming, the most treacherous weapon in the hands of professional liars and conspiracy theorists... or, maybe, conspiracy terrorists!
This is what we hear every day from the right thinking people and politically correct firebrands.

Well, as already observed in this blog in the past, the fake news concept, in the writer's opinion, is more likely an excuse to silence different opinions, while the really horrible, detestable, alarming, treacherous weapons that are regularly used by unscrupulous demagogues and biased media are the despicable practice of ignoring actual facts (if they contradict the common narrative) AND the disgusting habit of repeating the same story many times over (for days, weeks, months) whenever it fits the political bias of the mainstream media—even in the case of stories, which are based on unverified and misleading claims!
This successful practice is in full accordance with an old saying, which is often attributed to Joseph Goebbels. It goes something like this: If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it!!!

In order to clarify this claim, a good starting point is the first full press conference of the then almost newly elected President of the United States on March 25, 2021.
